The End of Coupons?

I have a relative who still pays for a Sunday newspaper and then gives me all of the coupons. Each week, I flip through the pages but it seems during the past couple of years there have been only a few rare occasions that I have found a coupon worth using. For the most part, the cents off amount is generally about a quarter, and the expiration date is in a matter of weeks.

Years ago, the “extreme couponers” were outed and I think the manufacturers and stores have finally figured out ways to eliminate the practice. At minimum, it is been drastically curtailed.

The only way I consistently save on food, household and personal products is to know and track prices, then stock up when the best sale of the year is offered.
